Brazil.- A man drowned after jumping into the water escaping from a swarm of bees aggressive in Brazil.
Donizete Bezerra da Silva, 58, was attacked by “killer bees” last Monday when he was mooring his canoe to a tree on a farm in the municipality of Catalao, state of Goiás, in central Brazil.
The man didn’t realize there was a swarm of bees hidden in the tree where he moored his boat.
According to police spokesman Lieutenant Robson Julio de Souza, the victim had apparently tried to tie down his canoe too much. near a large hive and thousands of bees came out.
The man jumped into the water with a friend who was at the time in order to escape the swarm of Africanized bees that are known as “killer bees” for their aggressiveness.
Donizete drowned but his friend fortunately managed to get out of the water and recover the peasant’s body.
