In the supermarket, with the electricity bill at home, now also on the campsite – no area of life is spared from the rising energy prices. Holidays are also affected.
Our partner portal “MOIN.DE” asked around among the holidaymakers at a campsite on the Baltic Sea island of Fehmarn – and quickly noticed that there wasn’t much left of a relaxing, inexpensive holiday in nature.
Campsite: Regulars angry at Baltic Sea beach
A whole dozen long-term campers finally no longer want to camp on the island of Fehmarn. You have not concluded another lease agreement for the coming holiday season. But not because they suddenly no longer like the Baltic Sea island. They feel more compelled to make this radical decision.
This is the Baltic Sea:
- also called the Baltic Sea
- the Baltic Sea is the largest brackish sea on earth
- it is up to 459 meters deep
“This is nothing more than a modern expulsion,” criticized one of the campers. Great anger has spread among holidaymakers – this is mainly due to the “costs”. Of course, they will increase this year either way because of the high energy prices. But apparently the campsite operators turned up the price screw much earlier.
Campsite increases prices by around 500 euros
A parking space now costs around 100 euros more than it did a few years ago. In the crisis year 2022, a new peak follows: tenants are now being charged 500 euros more for their camping meadow. “It can’t be that!” raged a vacationer. And that’s not all. Because in the coming year it will be even more expensive.
