American UFC welterweight fighter Belal Muhammad expressed dissatisfaction with the fact that fighters Khamzat Chimaev and Colby Covington are ahead of him in the promotion rating.

“I know that there is talk of a fight between Chimaev and Covington, but this fight does not make any sense. I don’t think Colby will end up agreeing to it. Like I said, Covington doesn’t take tough fights, he doesn’t fight guys who have a chance to beat him,” Muhammad said on YouTube-channel ESPN MMA.

The media also reported that the winner of the Chimaev-Covington fight would fight for the UFC title.

Chimaev has not yet suffered a single defeat in mixed martial arts. He has 12 wins in MMA and six in the UFC. Covington has 17 wins and three losses.

The duel between the fighters is scheduled to take place in March 2023.

Earlier, UFC President Dana White commented on the brawl between Khamzat Chimaev and Abubakar Nurmagomedov.
