President Albert Fernandez posted on his Twitter account uA message on the 12th anniversary of the death of Néstor Kirchner. “Néstor lives in our history and in our convictions. He has given meaning to the path we travel, “Fernández wrote about the former president.

Along with a video with images and speeches by Kirchner, the head of state highlighted: “With his ideas, his proposals and his heart, remembering Nestor Kirchner is also remembering how we got here and why we keep fighting”.

This Thursday, with events throughout the country, political groups, unions and social organizations will remember the former president Nestor Kirchneron the 12th anniversary of his death.

“Argentines don’t go back, they want to go forward”

The President’s message was accompanied by a video that begins with the words of the Santa Cruz politician saying that “Argentines don’t go back, they want to go forward.”

With the song “Tu Amor” by Charly García and Pedro Aznar as a background, photos and videos of various stages of Kirchner’s political life are seenfrom images of the 2003 presidential campaign with Daniel Scioli, moments of his tenure as president together with the then chief of staff, Alberto Fernández, to a detailed close-up of his hand clinging to that of his partner, Cristina Fernández.

The final seconds of the production overlap a dozen photographs of Alberto Fernández and Kirchnerand the moment in which the former president takes his oath, on May 25, 2003, in the White Room of the Casa Rosada.
