The Permanent Commission on Education, Health, Science, Technology and Innovation approved by majority an agreement to recognize the Military Community Brigades for Education and Health (Bricomiles).

According to a press release from parliament, the president of the commission, deputy Ricardo Sánchez, stressed that this initiative is pertinent to recognize the efforts of the Ministries of People’s Power for Health, Education and Defense, in perfect coordination with school authorities to improve educational and hospital infrastructures.

In this sense, Sánchez highlighted that at the initiative of the Head of State, this program materializes, which allows the community, FANB and all social sectors to be articulated to improve the quality of life of patients and young people who live in schools and hospitals. .

He recalled that unilateral sanctions and the blockade by the US government have affected the quality of life of the Venezuelan people, especially in the health and education sectors.

Another of the points discussed during the regular meeting was the advances in the Parliamentary Response and Accompaniment Protocol of the commission, which between the months of July and September attended to 446 health cases in various ailments.

Finally, he indicated that the mechanism they created, in the instance under his charge, to deal with social and health cases in coordination with the Executive Power, has had a positive balance since it has provided timely responses to the Venezuelan population.
