Mexico City.- Facing the final part of their preparation, heading to the Qatar 2022 World Cup, six players from the Mexican National Team began concentration at the High Performance Center (CAR) and the rest will report for the next few days to think about the trip to Girona, Spain.

In the old continent, the National Team led by Gerardo “Tata” Martino, will hold its last two friendly matches against the representatives of Iraq and Sweden, on November 9 and 16, at the Montilivi Municipal Stadium, respectively.

For that trip, 15 soccer players, from the sub-20 division, will be ‘sparring’ and the first to accompany the Tricolor were unveiled this precise Friday, October 14. According to the TUDN journalist, Gibran Araige, the chosen ones will help Gerardo Martino to complete the training sessions while the Europeans join the call.

The first on the list to go to Girona will be the following: “Emilio Lara (America), Román Martínez (America), Alejando Gómez (Atlas), Pavel Pérez (Chivas), Jesús Orozco Chiquete (Chivas) Fidel Ambriz (León ), Santiago Trigos (Pumas), Ali Ávila (Raya2) and Víctor Guzmán (Xolos).

This formula of having young soccer players to live an experience that looks like the World Cup, is not the first time that Gerardo Martino has carried it out, he did it at the time when he led the Paraguayan National Team, heading to South Africa 2010.

As a thank you for holding this position, the helmsman of the National Team and the Mexican Football Federation (FMF) will take them to Qatar, although they will not be part of the official list of 26 teams that must be delivered before the World Cup party begins.
