The election of the president of the FNL took place at a general meeting of the league clubs on October 4. 53 votes were cast for Izmailov, 11 for Lakhiyalov. The term of office of the new president of the league is four years. Since July 7, Izmailov has been acting head of the FNL after Alexander Alaev left his post.
Earlier, Izmailov announced that the second division would switch to the spring-autumn format.
