The couple asked the guests ... to pay for the wedding. Here's what amount they saw on the invitation

We all know how expensive weddings are. Couples stand on their eyelashes to pay for weddings. These bride and groom decided to help each other in an unusual way. They cut costs by suggesting their own guests pay for their stay.

An unexpected message appeared on the invitations of a couple. One of the dissatisfied guests described the situation on the forum.

The couple asked the guests to pay for their stay

At the bottom of the wedding invitation it is written to acknowledge arrival as well as to pay $ 50 per person for the meal. “Desserts included” – added in the invitation. Converting this amount into PLN, it is about PLN 245.

In addition, in the invitation, the guests also found information about the best gift to buy. “It’s been 15 years since I planned my own wedding, so maybe it’s more common now, but it seems a bit cheesy,” wrote the indignant guest.

She decided to check on her own how much a meal would cost in the restaurant where the wedding would take place. “I can get a full meal and drink for less than $ 30.”

The reaction of Internet users. “If they can’t afford it, they should choose the cheaper option”

The situation seems bizarre. Internet users reacted quickly to the entry about the wedding.

“I suspect they will be shocked at how few people will come to their wedding.”

“This is so cheesy. Just because people are doing it more and more doesn’t mean it’s acceptable.”

“This trend of treating weddings as upscale clubs with admission fees is simply absurd.”

“If they can’t afford the restaurant, they should have chosen the cheaper option instead of asking you to pay for your own food and gift.”
