After the suspension of the test in June, the organization offered different possibilities for those registered: run next year, return registration or do it this Saturday. The change of dates has taken its toll compared to what is usual, although in the last edition, which also took place in September, the figures were similar. In addition to the day of the test, the schedules have also changed, since the start of the Quebrantahuesos will be at 8:00, one hour later. And the Treparriscos at 8.45.

Every year the organization pays tribute to an outstanding athlete and on this occasion the honoree is Juan Carlos Unzué, who suffers from ALS and who has become the most visible face in the fight against the disease. The Navarrese’s fondness for cycling is well known by many, having been a regular at cycling events and other cycling events.

This has been the case with the Quebrantahuesos: Unzué participated and completed the Quebrantahuesos on five occasions (2006, 2007, 2008, 2009 and 2011), with a mark of 6:23 in 2008. The former goalkeeper will receive the tribute this Friday and on Saturday, as usual, he will start the test.
