Land Rover Defender 75th anniversary, tribute to a legendary brand

Land Rover celebrates its 75th anniversary and does so with the launch of a limited series of the Defender, heir to the work off-road tradition.

Land Rover is one of the world’s leading off-road vehicle manufacturers. His story started in the year 1948 with the launch of Series 1. Now, the brand pays homage to its long history with the launch of a limited series called 75th Limited Edition.

For years, Land Rover has specialized in the production of robust vehicles designed for work, which came under the name Defender in the 1990s, when the brand began its expansion.

Since then, this has been the landmark british offroader for tough jobs in hard-to-reach areas. On this basis, before the pandemic, the brand launched a new Defender on the market, much more technological and sophisticated, but just as robust and designed for work.

It is this modern Defender, with its versions of short and long body, or 90 and 110 by its more technical denomination, which now receives this additional commemorative ending to its range. Despite everything, the new Defender 75th Limited Edition incorporates the latest technologiessuch as a 3D peripheral camera, Matrix LED headlights or the Configurable Terrain Response to provide maximum efficiency and simplicity in the most radical off-road use.

This limited edition stands out for an exclusive exterior design in the iconic color Grasmere Green, with matching rims and interior finishes, as well as unique details. The exterior finish in this green is presented for the first time in the Defender range. this tone reserved exclusively for the Defender 75th Limited Edition, which also features 20-inch Grasmere Green alloy wheels with matching center caps. The exterior is completed with an exclusive 75th anniversary graphic, Ceres Silver bumpers and tinted windows.


The green hue also appears on the dashboard, giving it a more adventurous touch.

Its interior is also enhanced by the exposed crossbar finished in Grasmere Green paint. on the dashboard and laser engraved details on its ends. The seats are finished in Resist Ebony, while the center console side trims incorporate Robustec, the more resistant fabric available in the range.

The limited edition is based on the HSE finish to which a wide additional standard equipment is incorporated. In terms of innovative technology, it includes a 3D peripheral camera, Configurable Terrain ResponseMeridian sound system, Matrix LED headlights, Pivi Pro infotainment system with 11.4 screen inches, Head-Up Display and wireless charger.

All Defender 75th Limited Edition models also feature an optional folding soft top or sliding panoramic roof. Their heated seats They have 14 positions and memory functions for both driver and passengers, heated steering wheel and tri-zone climate control. All-sea tires are offered to further enhance its off-road capabilities.

Available engines include the powerful and efficient P400e plug-in hybrid (PHEV) in the 110 versions, as well as the Ingenium gasoline and diesel options, the P400 and D300, both with micro-hybrid electric technology (MHEV). This allows to optimize power and reduce its fuel consumption and provides the “eco” label to the vehicle. In Spain and Portugal all available units will be exclusively with body 110 (long) and with the P400e plug-in hybrid (PHEV) engine. As for its recommended price, will be 118,200 euros.
