Gérard Darmon became a father for the fourth time at the age of 68 and is happily raising five-year-old Léna. A happiness in which he and his wife Christine, married for eight years, no longer believed.
Gérard Darmon needs no introduction. The actor began his career in the 80s, in films The princesby Tony Gatlif, or even 37°2 in the morning, directed by Jean-Jacques Beineix. In 1994, his famous Carioca dance with Alain Chabat in The City of Fearthe Dummies film, released in 1994, helped make it popular with the general public.
After a little crossing of the desert, Gérard Darmon returns to the front of the stage thanks to his role of Amonbofix in the hit comedies of the franchise Asterix. An interpretation which will earn him a nomination for the César Award for Best Supporting Actor.
A happy man in love
In addition to chaining professional projects, Gérard Darmon is also happy in love. He has also just experienced the joys of fatherhood again. After more than twenty years together and eight years of marriage, Christine gave birth to the actor’s fourth child, when he was 68 years old. A somewhat unexpected birth, although ardently desired.
It was in 2000 that Gérard Darmon got into a relationship with Christine, 25 years his junior. They pass the ring on their finger in 2014 and spin since the great love. Three years later, their little Léna was born, to their delight. And despite the fact that he was on the eve of his 70th birthday, the one who is at odds with Marc Lavoine welcomed the news with the greatest enthusiasm:
For 15 years Christine and I were unable to have children together. She is 24 years younger than me. One day, at 43, she found herself pregnant.
He confided to during an interview granted to Gala.
The family is growing
Gérard Darmon has therefore welcomed his third daughter, who has a large age gap with his elders:
I already had three children, Virginie, from a first union, then Sarah and Jules, from my union with Mathilda May. I was not going to oppose this birth.
In 1968, the actor married Nicole Recoules, whom he had met two years earlier in a drama class. In 1987, Gérard Darmon rebuilt his life with Mathilda May. They become the parents of Sarah, born in 1994, and Jules, in 1997. Three years later, he moved in with Christine, whom he has never left since.
Despite their age difference, Gérard Darmon educated all his children in the same way and insisted that he “tries to instill in them a sense of brotherhood”.
A united blended family.
