Digitization of sports in Russia is one of the key topics of the forum "Russia - a sports power"

One of the key topics of the forum will be the digitalization of sports. It will be discussed as part of an extensive business agenda.

Digitization is driving the development of all segments of the sports industry, from training and performance of athletes to holding and broadcasting competitions, creating a comprehensive digital experience for fans, both in the stadium and on TV screens.

At the beginning of April 2022, at the initiative of the government, the state information system “Physical Culture and Sports” (GIS FCS) was created. The GIS will keep a calendar of international and all-Russian competitions, as well as public events. A register of sports facilities of the country is provided, of which there are more than 300 thousand. The FCC GIS is planned to be synchronized with the public services portal, where you can choose a sports school for your child in your personal account. Athletes in the same place will be able to conveniently and quickly receive well-deserved titles or ranks.

A seminar-meeting within the framework of the forum “Russia – a sports power” will be devoted to the GIS FCC, at which the intermediate results of work on the system will be summed up and plans for the future will be developed. Seminar on the topic “GIS FCC: what has been done, what we are doing, plans for development” will be held on September 28 in Kemerovo.

In modern realities, it is impossible to ignore the growing popularity of eSports. It has a wide range of disciplines, cult teams, top tournaments with impressive prize money, as well as a huge army of fans around the world. That is why the strategic session “E-sports and sports programming as trends in sports digitalization” draws special attention, which will be held as part of the forum on September 28 in Kemerovo.

Smart stadiums, smart simulators, digital assistants – all this is an integral part of any sports fan. To make the trends in this area more understandable, the forum program includes a strategic session: “Strategic priorities of innovative and technological development of physical culture and sports”, scheduled for September 29 in Kemerovo.

In March 2022, the creation of the Sport domain began. Its design is carried out by the Ministry of Sports of Russia, FKU GosTech, PJSC Sberbank, the Coordination Center under the Government of the Russian Federation, together with interested representatives of the physical culture and sports industry, as part of the development and implementation of the information system “Unified Digital Platform” Physical Culture and Sports “.

At the initial stage, the experts considered various client paths and basic needs of users of the future Sport domain. Based on the results of preliminary processing of materials within seven functional areas, the clients of the “Sport” domain and the list of life situations they face were identified.

Intermediate results of their work will be presented within the framework of the forum at a separate strategic session: “Domain “Sport”: what has already been done and what’s next?”, which will be held on September 29 in Kemerovo. Representatives of ANO Tsifrovaya ekonomika and State Corporation Rosatom will take part in it.

Sports media actively participate in the formation of the digital environment. A new era has begun in the development of Russian sports. The current situation has directly affected the economy of the sports industry. Russian sports media in the conditions of restrictions promptly have to develop new programs and approaches to work. September 28 in Kemerovo experts of the strategic panel “Transformation of the media landscape. The Future of Sports Media” will discuss new methods and formats for working with sports and healthy lifestyle content, develop a number of proposals to increase the share of coverage of various areas of mass sports in the federal media.

The general media partner of the forum “Russia – a Sports Power” is the country’s leading sports channel “Match TV”. Over the years of its existence, Match TV has accumulated vast experience in showing major sports competitions.

Now the channel is facing a new challenge. In the absence of Russian athletes at international competitions that are familiar to the viewer, Match TV should attract the audience to domestic Russian competitions, which previously were on the periphery of attention. This is what the special partner session will be devoted to: “Russian sport of modern times: how to attract an audience to domestic competitions”, which will be held on September 29 in Kemerovo.
