Chile participates in the world championship of hot air balloons with a device in the form of Moai

Chile participated in a hot air balloon event in Murska Sobota, Slovenia, with a balloon in the shape of a Moai, the traditional Rapa Nui figure.

This is the 24th World Championship, where more than 150 drivers participated with their teams and professional teams representing more than 32 countries.

Chile joined as a special guest with the two hot air balloons with special shapes: the “Blue Heart Balloon”, the only one in the world of 2,750 m3, which was already known at the South American Festival and Championship in Brazil, and the premiere and revelation of this World Cup in Slovenia, the giant TUPUNA hot air balloon, shaped like a Moai head, of 3,100 m3.

The activity of the Chileans is being carried out by the “Dream Here” Foundation, which promotes the realization of a cultural and sports project. With this milestone, he seeks to establish the sport of ball sport in Chile.

This year, the Murska Sobota 2022 was marked by the participation of 150 hot air balloons from various nations through the skies of the northeastern region of Pomurje, a contest that ends this Friday.
