Afterlife - Dang Quang Tam's poem

Dang Quang Tam

Life after

Painting: Le Ba Dang

I put each sentence in my head
Trying to write a poem I thought for a long time
Poems that I think but have not written
I thought I sent it, where did I send it

I burn every night the sadness
There are no more tears left to pour
Love poems die over the years
Water flows aimlessly, strange water source

It’s only been a few decades
Home far away, not coming back to visit
Tomorrow, the day after tomorrow, life is black and silver
Where can I find a place to stay?

I kill my last dreams
With a verse of breathless breathing
By the night without sleep, the sky is bright
With a dull mind like a man out of time

Long years holding each other
Who fell in love today
Farewell that day, people fall each day
I cry for the afterlife/afterlife.
