Thomas Christiansen: Let's go all out

Coach Thomas Christiansen said yesterday that Bahrain is a rival on another level and that it is nothing like the Qatari team that the Panamanian team faced in the last Gold Cup, in a match they drew 3-3.

“They have a different way of playing, it’s not like Qatar, they’re on another level. They’re supposed to play a 4-3-3, you can never trust them, but I reiterate that the goal is to win and play a good game.”

“We are on the FIFA date, we cannot give away the points and that is why we have to go with everything,” the national coach pointed out.

The Bahrain National Stadium, located in Riffa, will be the scene of the friendly on September 27. In this same stadium, but in October 2005, the ‘Dilmun Warriors’ accounted for the Panamanians 5-0.

Last night, the group that was training in Panama traveled to Bahrain. Before the trip, Christiansen’s pupils played a friendly, which they lost 2-0 against Sporting de San Miguelito.
