The Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation does not comply with the age limits, which itself established for citizens subject to mobilization, says the head of the human rights organization “Agora” Pavel Chikov.

On his Telegram channel, the lawyer published information about some Russians called up on the first day of the mobilization campaign.

Yes, by data Chikov, a 63-year-old colonel received the summons in Moscow, a 55-year-old senior lieutenant in Volgograd, and a 60-year-old sergeant in Samara.

“Well, 49-year-old privates and 51-year-old lieutenants. It turns out that the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation reports false information about the mobilization, ”the human rights activist writes.

As part of the mobilization announced by Vladimir Putin, the Russian Defense Ministry intends to call on 300,000 reservists. It is argued that only those who have already served, have a military registration specialty and combat experience will be subject to mobilization. In particular, these are privates and sergeants under 35, junior officers under 50, senior officers under 55.

According to media reports, a secret clause in the presidential decree on mobilization states that up to a million people can be drafted into the army. The Kremlin denies this.
