Filming for the fourth season of “Das Boot” has been completed. Five new images set the mood for the upcoming episodes.
Filming for the upcoming fourth season of the Second World War series “Das Boot” has been completed, as announced by Sky Germany. The new, six-episode edition of the Sky original was created this time in Malta and Prague. A series of scene shots set the mood for the upcoming season.
That’s what season four is about
The submarine war in the Mediterranean comes to a head in the new episodes. Resistance to the Nazis was also growing in the ranks of the Nazi Navy. Meanwhile, the siblings Klaus (Rick Okon, 33) and Hannie Hoffmann (Rosalie Thomass, 35) make peace and pursue common goals. While Klaus returns to the German Reich, Hannie helps orphans and uncovers infamous machinations of the Nazi Reich.
These cast members appear in season four
In addition to returnees such as Okon, Franz Dinda (39) and Florian Panzner (46), a whole series of new actors complement the cast of “Das Boot”. Apart from the Thomass already mentioned, Wilson Gonzalez Ochsenknecht (32), Lara Mandoki (33) and Stefan Murr (46) are new in season four.
With his engagement in “Das Boot”, the 32-year-old actor Ochsenknecht follows in the footsteps of his famous acting father Uwe Ochsenknecht (66), who already appeared in Wolfgang Petersen’s (1941-2022) film “Das Boot” from 1981.
“Das Boot” season four: release date and direction
Dennis Gansel (“Die Welle”, “Napola”, 48) is responsible for directing the six episodes from season four. A start date for the new episodes has not yet been set.
