Mayor José María Fraustro Siller and City Council officials joined the commemoration of World Car Free Day, in order to raise awareness in caring for the environment and sustainable urban mobility.
Thus, during this Thursday, the mayor Chema Fraustro, employees and officials of the Saltillo City Counciljoined the challenge of putting aside motor vehicles and using bicycles throughout the day, in addition to forming teams to travel several in a single car, and help reduce gas emissions.

“This initiative aims to collaborate from the municipal administration with the care of the environment, as well as promote the culture of mobility among citizens through bicycles and other means that help the environment and also serve the physical activation of the population”, expressed the mayor.

Accompanied by Carlos Estrada Flores, Secretary of the City Council, as well as Héctor M. Reyes SotoDirector of Social Communication of Saltillo, Hugo Carreón, Legal Director and different municipal officials, the mayor of Saltillo made a ride to reach the Municipal Presidency located on Francisco Coss Boulevard.

Sofía Franco Villalobos, director of Environment and Urban Spaces, He urged citizens to walk, use a bicycle or other means on short journeys, or share the vehicle to the same destinations among friends or family.
