Marco Kasper again provides assistance in Rögle victory

Vienna – Thursday, September 22, 2022, 9:31 p.m

Marco Kasper missed his first goal of the new SHL season by just a few millimeters on matchday 2.

Nevertheless, the Vorarlberger recorded another assist in Rögle BK’s 4-2 away win against Lulea.

Rögle starts the game with a lot of momentum and is already 3-0 up after 15 minutes. Two minutes earlier, Kasper was served with a good overview in the slot and failed from close range to goalkeeper Lassinatti, who parried the 18-year-old’s shot while lying down with his racket in front of the line. Sheen used the rebound without any problems to make it 2-0 in the meantime.

Lulea then came back to 2:3, but Rögle managed the narrow lead and made it 4:2 with a powerplay hit 1:30 minutes before the end. Thanks to the second win, last year’s CHL winner slips to third place.

Kasper was already in top form in the Champions Hockey League, recording two goals and four assists in four games. In the 5-4 overtime win against Brynäs at the start of the SHL, the Detroit Red Wings prospect was able to record an assist.
