Colonel Kachura, who died in the battles for the liberation of Donbass, predicted her death in an interview with Baranovskaya

52-year-old Kachura was the daughter of an officer, her grandfathers and great-grandfathers were professional soldiers. She herself chose a military specialty without hesitation, and managed to build a successful career. In the Donbass, the Korsa unit was especially effective. Olga told Baranovskaya how she managed to command dozens of men, who at first did not take her seriously.

“I went to adult healthy uncles, bearded, and I said:“ I am your commander, they sent me to you. They look at me in bewilderment: “How are you going to build us here?” – “According to the charter, guys, according to the charter …” She threw the book, said, now we will live according to this book. There were 250 of them at that time. They obeyed quickly enough, ”she said in a documentary film by the host of Channel One.

Every day Olga’s authority grew, legends were made about her courage. With such a rhythm, Kachura forgot about the peaceful situation. “About such trifles as sitting in an armchair in the evening in the presence of your children, discussing some daily problems, drinking coffee, watching TV. It’s just that peaceful life is not enough, ”the commander shared.

During a conversation with Baranovskaya (the recording of the interview is dated August 1), she accidentally made an action, from which she immediately became uncomfortable. “The hat is never put on like that. I put it wrong. They put a hat like that once in a lifetime on the table, they put a hat for a dead person, put a cap. I hope that I won’t have it soon, ”Olga noted.
