The president of Mexico, Andres Manuel Lopez Obradorrevealed a list of opposition senators who took a position against the initiative of the PRI to keep the Armed forces in the streets and assured that, while he is in charge of the government, he will insist on his presentation before Congress.

“I am in favor of presenting the initiative and even if it does not have the majority, in this case two thirds, because it is a constitutional reform, let some time pass, a period pass and I am going to present it again”, the president said on Thursday.

“As long as I am president, as I have the power to do so, present the initiative, I will continue to insist because I do not want the National Guard to end up as the Federal Police under the command of people like García Luna or Chong”he insisted.
