After the Queen’s State Funeral
Kate and William thank the helpers
Despite the announced period of mourning, Prince William and Duchess Kate showed up again on Thursday at an appointment in Windsor.
After the state funeral of Queen Elizabeth II (1926-2022) last Monday (September 19), the British royal family withdrew as part of a mourning period for the time being. Although this should last until next Monday, Prince William (40) and Duchess Kate (40) showed up again on Thursday at a public appointment. Together they thanked the volunteers in Windsor who organized the funeral of the monarch who died on September 8 in a short time.
The two chose black outfits for their visit to the Windsor Guildhall: Kate showed up in a noble coat dress with golden buttons by Dolce & Gabbana. William wore a simple suit with a white shirt and tie. Despite the mourning phase, the two always gave the helpers a smile while expressing their gratitude and appreciation.
Prince William on moments of sadness
William explained that moments of grief would “caught” him again and again: “You are prepared for everything, but certain moments catch you,” quotes the “DailyMail”. Kate was also “amazed” by the enormous sympathy after the Queen’s death.
