Top Dog fighter, winner of the Youth European Boxing Championship Ivan Abramov spoke about the difficulties of building a career in professional boxing.
“After the fight with Alexei Khanov, I talked with the coach, we began to look for career development options. But there were no special thoughts on the topic of where to go, with whom to talk. And there was no desire either – I can’t say exactly why. In March, he competed at the Volga Federal District, took second place, and after that he spoke with his mentor again, saying: “Enough, I don’t want to anymore.” That loss hit me hard. Okay, they sued you once or twice, but if this happens on the fifth or sixth, your hands drop by themselves. After that, he took a break for six months, consulted with his wife. We came to the conclusion that we need to continue to develop in sports. No wonder he went all this way. Then I talked with one Hardcore Fighting fighter, and he already brought me to Albert, who is now my manager, ”Abramov said in an interview with RT.
Earlier, Abramov spoke about the possible exclusion of boxing from the program of the Olympic Games.
