Monterrey, Nuevo León.- The municipality of San PedroNuevo León, not only did not reduce its water consumption during the worst moment of the droughtbut increased it, revealed today Water and Drainage.
Juan Ignacio Barragán, general director of the organization, said that the average consumption per household in this municipality was greater than 27 thousand liters per month, four times the average consumption of other municipalities, such as García.
“We only have one municipality that consumes more than 20 cubic meters on average, San Pedro, it is at 27,” he said at a press conference.
“Incredibly it increased, that’s why we took measures to put reducers.”
