Cycling Grand Prix Colonel Assimi Goita: Bourama Coulibaly of USFAS wins the prize

On Saturday September 17, 2022, Minister Mossa Ag Attaher chaired, along with the Minister Secretary for Food Security, members of the Cabinet of the President of the Transition and the Governor of the Sikasso region, the Colonel Assimi Goïta cycling grand prix. It was in Niena, the cradle of Malian cycling.

More than 300 young people from the district of Nièna took the start over a distance of 120 kilometers. This ceremony was also an opportunity for the Minister to commune with the youth of the Commune of Nièna, but above all to invite them to show imagination, entrepreneurial spirit, cohesion to bring their stone to the great project of the refoundation of Mali-coura.

For the occasion, the populations expressed their need to see a velodrome built in their village, a Mecca for Malian cycling. Namely that Nièna provides nearly 60% of the workforce of the national cycle racing team.

The Minister also underlined to the young people of Nièna that the youth is at the heart of all the projects and programs instructed by the President of the Transition, Head of State, Colonel Assimi Goïta.

At the end of the competitions, the first 3 in each category received envelopes, medals and the Assimi Goïta grand prize trophy won by the first in the senior category, Bourama Coulibaly from USFAS. He also received special awards.
