Charles III, the new King of England

Since the queen’s death Elizabeth II, Charles III he is the new king, having assumed the Crown on the 8th of September. Once the monarch’s funeral ceremonies are over, preparations are now underway for the coronation of the new king, a solemn event that has not yet been set, but which could take place on a day full of symbolism.

The 2nd of June 2023 marks the 70th anniversary of the coronation of Elizabeth II, so that could be the date chosen by Charles III for his coronation, a hypothesis advanced by the British press. Refers to The Sunciting a source close to the royal family, who “there is no rush for the coronation and there is a lot of planning that needs to be done”. Yet this solemn moment “It should take place in May or June [de 2023]depending on what is happening in the world”.

Regardless of the date chosen, the coronation of the British sovereign should be shorter and less expensive than that of his mother, taking into account the period of recession and rising inflation that Europe is going through.

At the moment, the monarch is in the Scottish Highlands, carrying out seven days of mourning and resting from the intense official schedule of the last few days.

Remember, in the video below, the day of the coronation of Queen Elizabeth II.
