AS Réal de Bamako beat, on Tuesday September 20, on penalties 3 goals to 1 AS Douane of Burkina Faso at the March 26 stadium in a match counting for the second leg of the preliminary round of the Coupe de la Confederation of African Football. The Scorpions will meet the Ghanaians of Hearts of Oak Sporting from Accra (Ghana) next.

AS Réal from Bamako overcame the obstacle of AS Douane from Burkina Faso. Yet the match was not easy for the scorpions forced to win if they wanted to qualify for the next round. The first leg ended in a goalless draw between the two teams.

As in the first leg, the scorpions and the Burkinabé gabelous could not decide between themselves at the end of regulation time. Despite the determination of the two teams who played their luck greatly, no goal will be scored in this meeting. It was necessary to resort to the fateful test of shots on goal to decide between the two adversaries. In this game, AS Réal was the luckiest in winning the game by 3 shots on goal to 1.

With this victory, the scorpions qualify for the next round of the CAF cup where they will meet the Ghanaians of Hearts of Oak Sporting from Accra in early October.
