The deputy of the PP has reproached that the meeting has taken place coinciding with the publication of the report of the UN independent international mission on Venezuela, in which it is pointed out that the State intelligence services, both civilian and military, function as well-coordinated and effective structures to “repress the dissent by committing crimes against humanity”.

“While the UN condemned Maduro’s crimes against humanity, Albares whitewashed the dictatorship for oil,” Martínez denounced, after the minister pointed out that they had discussed “energy issues of mutual interest” for the two countries.
