Organic cotton sweatpants
They caught our attention in particular sweatpants of the Polish brand NAGO. The creators of the brand, Julia Turewicz and Jasiek Stasz, focus on business transparency and ecological solutions. They use certified fabrics to sew their clothes: organic cotton, Tencel ™, cupro or linen. When selecting raw materials, they pay attention to the optimization of the water cycle, the way plants are grown, and sustainable transport. They also bet on quality and versatility of typefaces – they do not want the clothes signed by the NAGO brand to end up at the bottom of the wardrobe after one season or – what is worse – a landfill as worn out and out of style.
NAGO sweatpants they are soft, comfortable and extremely pleasant to wear. Their legs are finished with welts, and from the inside, the pants have a cotton string sewn in, thanks to which you can fit them well at the waist. They are available in several colors.
NAGO sweatpants are sewn in Poland from certified organic cotton. What does this mean in practice? Organic cotton is friendlier to people and the environment. When growing it, it does not use any toxic pesticides or artificial fertilizers. Instead, natural solutions such as alfalfa or chili peppers are used. When growing organic cotton, a lot of attention is also paid to reducing water consumption (conventional crops use up sky-high amounts!), E.g. by using rainwater. Organic cotton is therefore much less invasive to the environment!
Organic cotton also has properties that are desirable from the point of view of consumers. It provides good air circulation, absorbs moisture well and has thermoregulatory properties. Thanks to the cultivation without pesticide additives, it is safe for allergy sufferers and owners of sensitive skin.
Natural growing conditions also make the fibers more resistant to external factors and thicker. This means that your organic cotton clothes will last longer and the stretching process will be slower. So you will enjoy the soft, pleasant to the touch trousers made of organic cotton for many years!
