Nikolai Olenev appointed CEO of Khimki

Khimki’s press service announced the appointment of a new general director. It turned out to be Nikolai Olenev.

It is noted that the new functionary has extensive experience in holding major international events. He was also a member of the organizing committee for the 2018 World Cup, the world championships in hockey, speed skating, clay shooting and others.

Olenev has already spoken about his plans for the near future:

“The primary goal is to develop a long-term strategy for the development of the club. But we will start with the main current task: to breathe new life into the stands. We have to completely update the format of interaction with fans, expand the audience, look for new directions.

We must popularize football as an integral part of the life of our city of Khimki, and the home stadium as a meeting place for good and kind friends,” Olenev told the club’s press service.

In the new RPL season, Khimki is in 13th place with 8 points. The last time the club won was on August 7 in a match with Torpedo Moscow (3:1).
