Moreno to investors from Catalonia: "Here is their land and we are never going to become independent"

The President of the Junta de Andalucía, Juanma Moreno24 hours after announcing that he was going to convert Andalusia in the second community with less fiscal pressure of Spain, has launched a message to investors in Catalonia: “Tohere is your land and We are never going to become independent because we are a proud part of Spain“.

In another informative meeting, this time in Seville at the Foro Vocento ‘Next Spain: the Spain we want’, Moreno has compared the fiscal situation of both regions to defend Andalusia. “In Catalonia there is inheritance and donation tax and there is wealth tax and here there is not“.

In his opinion, moreover, there are plenty of arguments for many businessmen, capitals and families to change their residence: “We live in one of the areas with the best quality of life in the world”.

Moreno has once again used figures to defend his thesis of the abolition of the Wealth Tax. Andalusia would pay the bills if 7,200 of those rents that Moreno urges were installed in the community. “Only with the personal income tax that they would pay, they would already add the money from the Wealth tax.”

Employment creation

After the criticism that the announcement about the abolition of the wealth tax has generated in the opposition parties, the president has been convinced that the elimination of this tax will have a positive effect on employment.

He maintains that in this community there are thousands of jobs associated with large taxpayers, who will no longer be “tempted to go” to Madrid, which is the region with the least fiscal pressure in Spain.

I compare myself with the best and Madrid will be the capital of Spain, but we are Andalusiawhich has enormous potential and what is needed is to value it”, assured the Andalusian president. In fact, his counterpart in Madrid, Isabel Díaz Ayuso, praised the gesture: “Andalusians: welcome to paradise”.

45,000 million budget

In that same appearance, the president announced that the Andalusian budget will be approved before the end of the year and will exceed 45,000 euros. These figures will about 5,000 million more than the current one, extended from 2021.

This time he will not have to negotiate them by virtue of the absolute majority of the PP in Parliament, but he assures that it will involve an economic effort to sustain essential public services. Also to weave a protection network for the most vulnerable families and to reactivate consumption and the economy.

Moreno has emphasized that Andalusia is not in crisis now because it is growing economicallybut it is necessary to continue with the reforms and improvements to try to cushion any blow that comes from outside.

The Andalusian president has defended that his Government has a marked course and that he trusts to be successful and that it is based on four fundamental items: the reduction of taxes; administrative simplification; provide legal certainty and that the rules of the game are not changed in the middle of the game, and political stability and credibility in the model, something essential to attract investment.

Precisely, to make this tax cut effective, the Governing Council will approve this Tuesday a decree with a new tax reform that will be published tomorrow in the Official Gazette of the Andalusian Government (BOJA) and that will come into force immediately.

Subsequently, the decree will be submitted to the validation of the Plenary of Parliament, where it will be approved by virtue of the absolute majority of the PP. However, the president has an appeal to the opposition so that they also join the validation of this decree law.

It also contemplates a measure to give more payment facilities to citizens with debts with the Tax Agency. Specifically, it will consist of making the conditions for deferment and payment installments more flexible up to a general term of twelve years.
