It’s a tragic affair which shook France a few years ago. One morning in October 2017, Jonathann Daval contacted the police to report the disappearance of his wife Alexia. This one would never have returned after going out for a jog. After two days of beatings, the partly charred body of Alexia Daval, born Fouillot, was found on October 30, 2017, in the wood of Esmoulins, in Haute-Saône.
During the beginning of the investigation, Jonathann Daval cried his wife daily. He never stopped to show his sorrow in front of journalists’ cameras, sometimes even in the company of his parents-in-law. However, his behavior began to intrigue investigatorswho decided to place him in police custody in January 2018. He confessed the murder of his wife after a few hours of interrogation, pleading the accident.
A shocking turnaround
For Alexia’s parents, who have always considered Jonathann Daval as their son, it is shock and incomprehension. Especially since he later recanted and accused his late wife’s brother of committing the crime for a long time. At the end of his trial in November 2020, Jonathann Daval was sentenced to 25 years of criminal imprisonmentwith no additional security period.

Two after his conviction, Jonathann Daval is talking about him again. A few days ago, Dominique Rizet, the journalist specializing in miscellaneous facts, revealed to Tele-Star that Jonathann Daval had found love again in prison:

Shortly after these revelations, Isabelle Fouillot, the mother of Alexia Daval, immediately reacted, upset to learn “again and again” while she tries painfully to mourn.
And Jonathann Daval’s mother also spoke, making herself her son’s voice in an article by The Republican Eastpublished this Sunday, September 18, 2022. Martine Henry thus declared that Jonathann Daval denied having a love affair with another prisoner and called for respect for “{his} privacy”:
Jonathann assures me that it is false, he does not see where it can come from.
She explained, indicating that they had raised the subject this Sunday during a visit to the visiting room of the central house of Ensisheim, in the Haut-Rhin.
Martine Henry added that her son “is afraid for his life, afraid of being attacked for something that does not exist”. She also asks that we “leave him alone” and recalled that he had been “judged”.
