Beer jersey causes a stir in Scotland

Presidential candidate Marco Pogo would also like that: The Scottish amateur club Newcraighall Leith Victoria AFC will in future compete in new home jerseys, which look like a – of course filled – beer glass.

The reason for the unusual design is easy to explain: The sponsor “Tennent’s”, which can be read on the jerseys, produces beer, as was easy to guess. As if that weren’t enough, the away jersey also gets a high-percentage makeover.

With cider manufacturer “Strongbow”, the club has another sponsor from the luxury food industry. The jerseys are in fruity red with foam beads.
