Santander Bank has hired a well-known law firm to investigate the alleged visit of a group of bankers to a club striptease after a day of rcompany meetingsto which some young employees would have resorted under pressure.
The incident would have occurred in February, after the meeting of Banco Santander’s global debt capital markets team in the United Kingdom, reports the Financial Times.
According to information obtained by the economic newspaper, seven male team membersamong them three managers senior and four employees, went to the Nags Head Gentlemens Club in Aldgatein the City of London“one of the oldest lap dance establishments” in the British capital.
Less experienced employees would have felt pressured to go to the club. “It is an open secret”, a Banco Santander staff member told the newspaper. “All the world [en todo el banco] he knows, but nothing is officially said.” None of those involved in the incident have been fired, although the manager who organized the visit has been sanctioned.
