Frankfurt – Tuesday, September 20, 2022, 9:45 p.m

After the triumph in the Europa League, the stars of Eintracht Frankfurt are more in demand than ever. Late in the summer transfer window, Filip Kostic, an absolute top performer, left Oliver Glasner’s Hessen and left a big hole.

Shortly thereafter, keeper Kevin Trapp was on his way to Manchester United, but the move fell through at the last moment. Defender Evan Ndicka was also very popular with AC Milan, among others.

Now the “eagles” are threatened with the next bitter loss: young star Jesper Lindström is said to be in Arsenal London’s sights, as “Bild” wants to know.

Long contract duration as a Frankfurt trump card

The 22-year-old is expected to join Mikel Arteta’s team next winter. Arsenal officials are said to have already contacted Lindstrom’s advisors.

However, the commitment could be a costly affair for the “Gunners”.

Lindström still has a contract in Frankfurt until 2026, so the transfer fee from sports director Markus Krösche should be correspondingly high. “Bild” reports 20 million euros, but it is extremely unlikely that Frankfurt will be satisfied with that. Rather, it is more likely to be an introductory bid.

According to “Transfermarkt”, the market value of the young Dane is currently 17 million euros. He has scored nine goals and eight assists in 49 competitive appearances for Eintracht. Lindstrom has made five appearances (one goal) in the Danish national team.
