There are films that, despite the years that have passed since their premiere, are still classics and remain in the hearts of viewers. Such is the case of Constantine, a film that premiered in 2005, and after 17 years of its arrival in theaters, a sequel with the same leading actor, Keanu Reeves, has been confirmed.
Constantine 2 is finally reality and will be developed with Keanu Reeves
This was confirmed by a recent report by Variety. According to the media, John Constantine will be back in a second film and will be played again by Keanu Reeves. All this would be a decision of Warner Bros. who hopes to promote this new film.
In addition, not only Keanu Reeves returns in Constantine 2, since several relevant workers have also been rehired within the team that made the first film in 2005. Everything seems to indicate that Warner is willing to bring back the epic character loved by many DC Comics fans.
In the leading role, as we already mentioned, we will have Keanu Reeves, while Francis Lawrence will be back in the directing chair, who since the premiere of the first film participated in other projects such as: The Hunger Games, I Am Legend and even Water for elephants.
The film is likely to be a hit, considering the popularity of Constantine and Keanu Reeves. However, fans will have to wait until the release date to see what Warner has developed regarding the plot and the character in general.
