The forward group of the CSTO mission in Armenia developed proposals for de-escalation at the border

The Ministry of Defense of Armenia hosted a meeting on the results of the work of the advanced group of the CSTO mission in the republic. Colonel-General Anatoly Sidorov informed Defense Minister Suren Papikyan about proposals to de-escalate the situation on the border with Azerbaijan.

Earlier, Armenia and Azerbaijan came to an agreement on a truce from 20:00 (19:00 Moscow time) on September 14 after an escalation of tension on the border of the two states.

Later, Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu held telephone conversations with Armenian Defense Minister Suren Papikyan. He also spoke on the phone with the Chief of the General Staff of the Azerbaijani Armed Forces, Colonel-General Kerim Veliyev.
