‘The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power’ is lThe most expensive series of all time, which makes it clear that Amazon Prime Video has spared no expense to ensure that everything is taken care of down to the last detail. For example, surely you have heard countless comments about its great visual finish, but the last episode made it clear that it doesn’t matter how much money you spend, because incomprehensible mistakes you are going to continue making.

The error in question

The rabbit in question happens in the 14th minute of ‘The Great Wave’ in the moments before Arondir (Ismael Cruz Cordova) meet Adar (joseph mawle). Look at his ears, since one of them maintains that pointy touch so characteristic of elves, but the other has the normal shape of the actor.

It is not that it is such a serious and obvious mistake as those made by other series -which does not mean that do not be surprised that Amazon corrects it once the data starts to spread like wildfire– but there it is. And be careful, it’s not that Arondir’s ears stay that way, because later in the episode they do both look just as pointed again -in minute 49 you can see perfectly when he’s shooting arrows at the orcs -.

Most likely this error occurred during retouching in post-production work and that the team responsible for the visual effects missed something. Because the alternative is that they shoot with that obvious difference between reds and that nobody notices, and one thing would be a small oversight – that the series has required an arduous and extensive post-production work – and another a blunder ..
