A new advice to save energy given by the Swiss Social Democrat Federal Councilor Simonetta Sommaruga has gone viral on social networks. The policy suggested that in order not to waste extra liters of hot water, people should shower in pairs, inform local media.
Amid the escalating energy crisis in Europe, politicians on the continent are desperately looking for ways to save, although many doubt the effectiveness of these proposals.
Social media users were quick to react to the unusual idea of Swiss politics. “Doesn’t a shower for two take much longer?” one tweeter asked. “However, this is going to be a problem for singles,” another user raised, while a third user suggested finding a friend on Twitter to shower together from now on.
