Former Zenit midfielder Vladislav Radimov opposed the inclusion of the Brazilian midfielders of the St. Petersburg club Malcolm and Claudinho in the Russian national team.

“They look to the future and probably understand that it is almost impossible to get into the Brazilian national team, and here there is a chance that Russia will be returned to international competitions and they will be able to play at the national team level. I was brought up in Soviet times, I personally am against it, ”Radimova quotes “Match TV”.

On September 19, Zenit sent letters to the Russian Football Union (RFU) regarding the issuance of Russian passports for Brazilian athletes.

Malcolm moved to the team from the banks of the Neva from Barcelona for €40 million in 2019. In the 2022/23 season, the footballer played ten matches in all competitions, scored six goals and gave five assists.

Claudinho joined the St Petersburg club last summer with 37 appearances, 11 goals and eight assists.

Earlier, the Brazilian striker of Lokomotiv Pedrinho told which of his compatriots he would focus on in the RPL.
