Queen Elizabeth’s remains head to Windsor for final rest

The ceremony will conclude with the removal of the crown, orb and scepter – symbols of the monarch’s power and government – from the coffin and their placement on the altar.

Later, in a private family service, Isabel’s coffin and that of her husband, the prince philipwho died last year at the age of 99, will be buried together in the memorial chapel of the king george vi. In that same place, his parents and his sister, the princess margaret.
