Bright Edomwonyi found what they were looking for in Slovenia when they were looking for a new club. The Nigerian will go into the hunt for goals in the Prva Liga for FC Koper.
The third in Slovenia’s top division, who finished last season as runners-up behind Maribor, has signed the attacker with a contract until the end of the season.
The 28-year-old comes on a free transfer after his four-year contract with Wiener Austria expired in the summer. In the pre-season, Edomwonyi was out for a long time due to a broken fibula, then in the spring he gained match practice in the Admiral 2nd division with the Young Violets and is now fully fit again.
The attacker has also played for FC Liefering, Wacker Innsbruck, Sturm Graz, Rizespor and Atromitos. In 127 Bundesliga games he has scored 21 goals and provided a dozen assists.
