Barcelona striker Robert Lewandowski spoke about adapting to the Catalan team and ambitions to win the Ballon d’Or.

“Ambition to win the Ballon d’Or? I know Barcelona is the team with the most Ballon d’Or winning players. I think that the path to the award at Barça is shorter than at Bayern,” Lewandowski was quoted as saying Mundo Deportivo.

According to him, he feels very comfortable in the Catalan club, including because of the atmosphere and teammates, because they treat him well.

“From the first day, I felt that I was at the right time in the right place. The fans started singing songs to me at the Camp Nou. I feel like I’ve been at Barcelona for a long time,” Lewandowski added.

The Polish footballer played for Bayern from 2014 to 2022. In total, he played 253 matches for the club and scored 238 goals. The striker moved from the Munich club to Barcelona for €45 million.

Former Manchester United defender Rio Ferdinand has named the top contender for the Ballon d’Or in 2023.
