The PSOE has distanced itself this Monday from the statements of the president of Castilla-La Mancha, Emiliano Garca-Page, who in an interview with EL MUNDO has questioned that the “companies” of the Government of Pedro Sánchez can infringe a “punishment” at the polls and the strategy of attempting to erode the leader of the PP, Alberto Nez-Feijo

“The party is strong and united”Contradicted the spokeswoman for the national leadership, Pilar Alegra, who stressed that this is the “clear message” that was unanimously transferred in the act with barons on Saturday in Zaragoza.

Garca-Page, on the other hand, has reaffirmed his words: “My discrepancy in relation to this context I have already told whoever had to know.” Even so, the Castilian-Manchego president has assured that “there is no war” and that he agrees on the values, principles and organization that he believes the majority “best manages Spain”.

In the PSOE, the words of the Castilian-Manchego president have been surprising in the interview with this newspaper, in which he has also expressed his fear that “another October 1, 2016” will take place, alluding to the Federal Committee in which Sánchez was dismissed with the party broken in twosince they point out that it was not the feeling he conveyed during his speech this weekend at the meeting in the Aragonese capital.

“The unity was clear and evident not only from an image point of view, but also in all the resolutions that we approved there”, Alegra insisted. In this sense, she has highlighted “the importance of the team” in a formation that “wants to continue listening to people” and that “goes out for it all, to win”.

García-Page has been one of the most critical barons with the partners of the socialist government. In the interview published this Monday by EL MUNDO he has also questioned the strategy of attacks on the leader of the PP: “I do not share that he is insolvent, nor is it correct to say so.”

Asked later at a press conference about the disavowal of Ferraz, the president of Castilla-La Mancha said that his opinions are his own and that has to be “consistent”, that it cannot be that he was capable with Feijo when he was in Galicia precisely because he considered him “solvent” and that his condition as leader of the PP discredits him now. In this sense, he has insisted that “a rapprochement of positions will be very healthy” between the two majority parties.

“I have been called insolvent so many times in the days of [Mara Dolores de] Cospedal that at this point I have very clear what it means to be a solvent, that is, to break the general interest”, Garca-Page has added cryptically. In any case, he has censored that it is being “tried to see wars where there are none” and that this is valid “with this topic and from now on”.

For his part, the Minister of the Presidency, Relations with the Courts and Democratic Memory, Flix Bolaos, has avoided this Monday to pronounce on the discrepancies of the Castilian-Manchego leader and has insisted on the official line that the PSOE is united before a PP that is dedicated to “tripping” to the Government, reports Europa Press.

Deputy Odon Elorza Yes, he has distanced himself from the party’s argument to point out that the president of Castilla-La Mancha now “defends Feijo” while “warning” Sánchez that he cannot continue with the “same companies”. “Is Page aware of the damage he is doing to the PSOE? For less than that, others pay penalties of 700 euros,” he wrote on his Twitter account, referring to the fine that parliamentarians must pay when they break the voting discipline.
