In his farewell letter, Roger Federer said: “The Laver Cup in London will be my last ATP tournament.” This comment caused a stir among the fans, who do not want to miss his Majesty’s Last Dance. Given the great demand for the five sessions of the tournament (one day and one night on Friday and Saturday and a single one on Sunday), tickets were soon sold out on the official sitewhere there are only places left to witness Thursday’s training.
Federer’s eight titles at Wimbledon.
However, as is often the case in these massive events, tickets can still be purchased on unofficial pages, at extremely high prices. One of these sites is Viagogo, where for a place in the highest sector of the stadium for the daytime session on Friday, the least convening, it costs almost 380 euros (54 thousand pesos). A ticket to sit close to the field on Saturday night costs 26,000 euros, which in pesos is more than three million. And the most expensive, a suite for that same session, about 44,500 euros, that is, more than six million pesos.
These values are much higher than those offered on the official page, with tickets that started at 18 pounds (just under 3 thousand pesos), the cheapest of the day on Friday; and they reached up to 510 (about 83 thousand pesos), the most expensive of the others. Not even the subscriptions to attend all the sessions -which were sold in advance- reached values similar to those of the unofficial sites: the most expensive were 2,420 pounds (about 395 thousand pesos).

The appointment for this contest that he himself devised is for this weekend at the O2 Arena in the English capital. However, the former number one in the world, winner of 103 titles and 20 Grand Slams and one of the greatest players in history, is in doubt: According to statements by his physical trainer, Pierre Paganini, Roger – who arrived in London this Sunday – has not yet decided and will do so at the last minute.
For this fifth edition, the Swiss will be accompanied by the other members of the famous Big 4. Because in the Europe team there are also the Spanish Rafael Nadal (3rd), the Serbian Novak Djokovic (7th) and the Scotsman Andy Murray (43rd). ). They complete the Norwegian Casper Ruud (2nd) and the Greek Stefanos Tsitsipas (6th); the Italian Matteo Berrettini (15th) will be the substitute. They will be directed by the Swedish Bjorn Borg.

For Rest of the World, with John McEnroe as captainThey will play Diego Schwartzman (17th), the Canadian Felix Auger Aliassime (13th), the Australian Alex De Miñaur (22nd) and the Americans Frances Tiafoe (19th), Taylor Fritz (12th) and Jack Sock (43rd in doubles). Another American, Tommy Paul (29th), will be in the reserve bank.
Last year’s version of the Laver Cup, held in Boston, it was the only one in which Federer did not play. It is that the Swiss had ended the season after the defeat in the Wimbledon quarterfinals against Hubert Hurkacz (his last official match of his) and he had already undergone surgery for his third operation on his right knee. The Swiss himself was seen in one of the days of action at the TD Garden, walking with difficulty and with the help of crutches.
