Panama- A total accumulated of 985,814 cases of Covid-19; 8,490 deaths for the disease and 975,064 people recovered of the virus, reports this Monday the Ministry of Health (Minsa), through the epidemiological report of the week number 37 that of Sunday 11 to Saturday 17 September.
According to the statistical data released by the Minsa, throughout the past week a total of 1,580 new infections, one of the lowest in recent reports, being last Tuesday, September 13, the day on which the most cases were confirmed (323).
Even more relevant than it is considerable decline of new cases of SARS-CoV-2highlights the amount of people who died during this epidemiological week, since it only reached three. They all happened last Friday, September 16.
The downward trend, is also reflected in the number of diagnostic tests carried out throughout the country to detect the new cases of Covid-19, because for this week the same was 28,130namely, 4,801 less that last week, when the total was 32,931.
For his part, the percent positivity down more than one 1.5%, since for the average this week was dand 5.7%, while last week this had been located in 7.3%. the clast saturday relationship of the week epidemiological number 36 and 37 too ratify the descent in the figures, since these were from 7.0% Y 4.8% respectively.
At the close of this epidemiological week, the Minsa announced that a total of 2,260 patients keep activates the disease of SARS-CoV-2 and that of those 2,178 were kept in their houses, 75 in regular rooms Y 7 in units of intensive care.
During the week epidemiological #37 were among the Corrections with higher number of cases: Juan Diaz with 14, David with 8, Bull’s mouths with 7, Ancon with 6 and Santiago with 6.

As for the amount of vaccines against Covid-19 that have applied, the Expanded Program on Immunization (EPI), confirmed that they have already placed 8,605,580 doses, of which 3,501,331 correspond to first doses; 3,148,453 to second doses; 1,709,670 to first reinforcement; 229,230 to second reinforcement and 465,629 at pediatric doses.
