In a statement signed by its president Pr Marimatia Diarra, dated September 14, 2022 published on the eve of the opening of the United Nations General Assembly in New York at the end of September 2022, the African Party for Solidarity and Justice (Adema – PASJ) says is following with great attention and deep concern the evolution of the security situation on the ground and the management of the complaint of the Malian Government against France to the UN Security Council in relation to strict respect for the national sovereignty of Mali.
According to Adema, despite the rise of the Malian Armed Forces on the national territory, the security situation in Mali remains very worrying and serious concerns arise over the sincerity of the collaboration of certain strategic partners in the fight against terrorism. and cross-border organized crime in the Sahel.
In this regard, Adema reaffirms its sincere support for the Transitional Authorities, the National Defense and Security Forces, tending to safeguard the integrity of the national territory, the maintenance of the republican form and the secular character of the state, and the independence of Mali.
To this end, Adema wishes a rigorous and impartial management of this file by the United Nations, in order to promote international peace which is the raison d’être of our common organization, the hope of humanity. However, Adema expresses its gratitude to the international community, which has shown sustained solidarity for the triumph of democracy and for its valuable contribution to peace in our country.
Finally, the PASJ urges all the forces deployed by the UN in Mali to further strengthen their cooperation with the Malian Armed Forces to fight, more vigorously, the terrorism that causes so much suffering in the Sahel, particularly in Mali.
