Munich – Monday, September 19, 2022, 6:57 p.m
After the 0-1 defeat in the derby against FC Augsburg, the voices about a crisis at FC Bayern Munich became louder again, President Herbert Hainer doesn’t want to know anything about it.
After the draws against Borussia Mönchengladbach, Union Berlin and VfB Stuttgart as well as the most recent defeat, Bayern coach Julian Nagelsmann and his eleven have been waiting for a win for four match days. The question of whether Nagelsmann was still the right man for his position came up several times.
Club president Hainer speaks a word of power to “tz” and “Münchner Merkur”: “We are completely convinced of Julian Nagelsmann and our entire team.” Because with Nagelsmann you have the potential to “achieve big goals”.
Hainer makes it clear that four games without a win “is not what our fans imagine”, but emphasizes the offensive game. This is not reflected in our results despite the large number of chances to score.
For the time being, the German Bundesliga is on pause due to the upcoming UEFA Nations League. Everyday life in the Bundesliga will resume on September 30th, when FC Bayern Munich will have the chance to end their dry spell against Bayer 04 Leverkusen.
