Shakhnazarov on recognizing Galkin * as a foreign agent: “Pugacheva wanted to be settled, but everything went wrong”

On September 16, the list of foreign agents was replenished with one more representative of show business. Now it lists Maxim Galkin. The parodist noted that he was unreasonably included in the register. The new status will not prevent him from continuing his creative activity. He assured that he would joke in the same vein.

“Firstly, I am not engaged in political activities, I am engaged in a humorous genre, political satire. I’ve been doing this for 28 years. I started it under Boris Nikolaevich Yeltsin, which I continue to do. If I appeal to subscribers outside the genre, then I do it sincerely, it is not paid by decent people. I do not sell my thoughts, opinion. I don’t trade conscience. Reason is contrived. Why this happens, I don’t know. I used to joke about politicians, and I will continue. This is my right to work and my freedom of speech,” the 46-year-old humorist commented on social networks.
