Singer Alla Pugacheva published on social networks “an appeal to the Ministry of Justice of the Russian Federation”, in which she asked to be enrolled “in the ranks of foreign agents of her beloved country.”

Pugacheva said she was in solidarity with her husband Maxim Galkin, “an honest, decent and sincere man, a true and incorruptible patriot of Russia,” who wishes his country “a peaceful life, freedom of speech” and an end to the death of people “for illusory purposes.”

On September 16, the Ministry of Justice declared Maxim Galkin, who criticized the Russian authorities for the attack on Ukraine, a “foreign agent.” According to the department, the artist conducts political activities and receives assistance from a foreign source – Ukraine.

Alla Pugacheva, unlike Galkin, after the start of the Russian invasion of Ukraine, refrained from public statements about the war. After the outbreak of the war, it was reported that the couple left Russia. In August, it became known about the return of Pugacheva to the Russian Federation; Maxim Galkin remains abroad, performing with concerts.
